Hanoi University of Science and Technology is a multidisciplinary technical university founded on October 15, 1956. The school has always been one of the leading technical universities in Vietnamese education. With many contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, the School has been awarded many valuable titles and awards by the Party and State to individuals and groups of the School.

- The school's campus has a total area of 26 hectares (the largest among universities in the inner city of Hanoi).
- Ta Quang Buu electronic library with an area of 37,000 m2, can serve 2,000 students at the same time with 600,000 books and 130,000 electronic books. Students have free access to databases from sources such as Science Driect, Scopus…
- System of 400 classrooms and laboratories, including 12 key and centrally invested laboratories, effectively serving training and research.
